From the time I was in middle school, I operated my own Pittsburgh Pirates Instagram community. I created daily graphics and other content to provide coverage of the Pirates' season for several years. Many opportunities arose to engage with Pirates' fans and the players themselves, including personal interviews with those players and other collaborative content. When I entered college, I was given the opportunity to collaborate with the founders of a Pitt Men's Basketball social media blog on Twitter and Instagram. I created unique content on a daily basis to cover the team and helped to expand an already growing online community of Pitt Men's Basketball fans.
